DESCRIPTION:
The Iron Duchess tells the story of Fred, a simple soul who dreams of love and success from his pigsty, where he lives with (of course) a pig. Smitten from afar by the daughter of railway magnate Mr. Schenk, the town\’s wealthiest citizen, he has a chance to prove his worth to her when she becomes the victim of a terrible plot to bend her to her father\’s will. High-speed train-based shenanigans ensue, along with gothic intrigue, random wandering film stars, and a rather splendid turn by a horse – culminating in a life-changing choice for our hero.
The Iron Duchess marks Roger Langridge\’s return to his signature character, Fred the Clown, for the first time in a decade, in a loving tribute to the work of Buster Keaton. Originally serialised on the website ZCO.MX, this will be the story\’s first appearance in print.
100 pages, color covers, greyscale interiors
