How do you craft a comic out of something that really happened? Where is the boundary between art and life? Ignatz Award-winning cartoonist Lauren Weinstein has grappled with these questions for 20 years, making comics about her life as a parent and most recently the lives of domestic violence survivors. In this talk with moderator Meg Lemke, she will show how to pick the stories that transcend the mundane: by keeping one’s antenna up for serendipity.
