Leela Corman is a cartoonist, painter, and educator. Her graphic novel Unterzakhn (Schocken/Pantheon 2012) was nominated for an Eisner Award and was a finalist for the L.A. Times Book Award and Le Prix Artemisia. She is a founding instructor at Sequential Artists Workshop, and teaches comics and illustration at Rhode Island School of Design. She is currently working on Victory Parade, an Expressionist body-horror graphic novel about women in the Brooklyn Navy Yard and the amateur wrestling circuit during the Second World War, and the astral plane over Buchenwald.
