Crystal Kung is an artist from Taiwan. Her picture book debut, Ra Pu Zel and the Stinky Tofu, written by Ying Chang Compestine, published with Rocky Pond Books in 2024. She published her first graphic novel “The Little Drifter” back in 2016 when she was still in school, and moved to the US to pursue her career in animation. She worked in Pixar Animation Studios and Blue Sky Studios as a character designer and visual development artist in the past 8 years. She has also illustrated covers for DC Comics and other comic studios.
In her illustrations, Crystal likes to focus on the interactions of characters and push the storytelling of the images. She currently lives in the Bay Area.
