12 all-new POSTCARD PORTRAITS of poet EMILY DICKINSON by master mimic Peter Poplaski—with a catch. All but a couple are drawn AS IF by another famous artist, including caricaturists David Levine and Al Hirschfeld; turn-of-the-century stylist Charles Dana Gibson (the “Gibson girl”); painters Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, and Amadeo Modigliani; and—God save us!—cartoonists Ernie Bushmiller and Basil Wolverton!!! Toss in an 18th century mezzotint and a “modern” Emily who’s comfortable with social media and merchandising and—voila!—there are a dozen versions of the shy poet that are distinctly different, but all charmingly and distinctively Emily Dickinson! Heavy card stock, 4″ x 6″ each and color. Sold singly for $1.50 or as a shrink-wrapped set for $14.95 ($1.25 each).
