Fran Mariscal Mancilla, born in 1995, began drawing at an early age. He trained in his hometown of Jerez and later in Barcelona, where he currently lives. He got his start in fanzines such as El Arca de las Historietas, Killer Toons, and Sextories, and contributed to collective works including Primavera Graphic Sound and Sombras de Aokigahara. He also worked as an illustrator for the publishing house Insólita, creating covers for several of its books. In 2025, he published his first full-length work as both writer and artist, Moribundo (Norma Editorial). In 2026, he made his debut in the American comics market with Batman for Detective Comics Annual #1 (DC), as well as Portraits (Nuevo Nueve).
